About the Role:
CrowdStrike Information Technology is looking for an AV Engineer to join the IT Network Engineering team, which plays a critical role building network, VoIP, and AV infrastructure that supports all CrowdStrike teams. The person in this position will play a key role, building and supporting AV infrastructure in a collaborative environment at scale. The successful candidate will also create engineering documentation in alignment with industry best practices, serve as a member of functional project teams, and participate in cross-team major initiatives.

What You’ll Do:
Maintain and operate collaboration spaces, conference room technology, and video collaboration platforms (Slack, Google Meet, Zoom) according to CrowdStrike reference AV architecture
Monitor AV infrastructure and traffic; identify and document problem areas and recommend infrastructure and performance improvements based on current and projected enterprise environment
Create and update AV knowledge-based documentation including AV operating procedures
Manage and coordinate with AV service vendors and partners to ensure timely resolution of issues and maintenance of systems
Prepare clear written plans and execute scheduled AV system maintenance to meet stated objectives within designated maintenance windows
Support the Service Desk and on-site teams for Executive Briefing Centers (EBC) by providing technical expertise and remote support for AV-related issues
Provide regular status updates on operational metrics and ongoing maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues across various platforms and hardware configurations
Support the strategic roadmap for AV by providing operational insights and improvement recommendations
Report regularly to the product owner on the status of projects to ensure delivery in a timely manner
Provide subject matter expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-team major initiatives
Minimum 5+ years experience supporting enterprise customers in AV engineering/implementation.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with members of multiple teams in multiple world regions
Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting and maintaining AV hardware including displays, microphones, speakers, and control systems
Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, Webex) including account administration and user support
Knowledge of AV signal distribution methods and protocols (HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante, NDI)
Ability to read and interpret AV system documentation, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevations
Experience managing support cases with AV vendors
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and end-user support
Must speak fluent English and communicate clearly in written English
Must possess a valid driver’s license and own a working vehicle with current registration and insurance
Must be capable of lifting 50lbs
Must be willing to participate in the team’s on-call rotation
Must be willing to travel occasionally to data centers, CrowdStrike offices, and other locations
Manufacturer certification with Cisco, Zoom, Logitech, Neat, Polycom, Crestron, Shure, BiAmp, QSC, and other codecs/cameras/switching and control devices
Ability to create AV system design drawings in AutoCAD/Visio
Experience leading AV system deployments for both technology refreshes and new construction
Advanced understanding of AV network protocols (Dante, AVB, NDI) and ability to effectively translate requirements to IT teams
Proficiency with ticketing & AV management platforms for system monitoring and support
Proficiency with streaming protocols, protocol analysis, and log analysis tools
Strong interest in continuing education and certification
