Role Summary

As a Sustainability Analyst, you will support the corporate sustainability initiatives addressing customer needs, market opportunities and long-term vision of the company. You'll act as the main point of contact for sustainability data gathering efforts related to suppliers, products, and facilities. This high impact role will maintain sustainability data and reporting to support internal and external sustainability inquiries.

In This Role, You Will…

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define and gather green data attributes on all company items.
  • Gather, maintain, and provide the data needed for global communication and key metrics required for reporting our annual performance (Corporate Sustainability Report.) 
  • Generate and maintain templates for sustainability reporting related to green data attributes for product, packaging, and facilities 
  • Validate and maintain sustainability data, within defined systems, that allow for a quick response to customer surveys. 
  • Provide support, as needed, to annual sustainability reporting (CDP, CSR, etc.) and annual customer requirements. 
  • Manage sustainability third-party certification schemes include BIFMA Level, EcoVadis, Indoor Air Quality, Carbon Disclosure Project, etc.
  • Manage communication and engagement with internal team members through weekly engage posts, monthly training, and quarterly newsletters.
  • Monitor regulatory landscape (new or changed product compliance and/or sustainability regulations), scope impact to Fellowes Brand, and support compliance efforts.
  • Work with suppliers to assist in the submission of environmental compliance and sustainability declarations. 
  • Assist in the evaluation of sustainability initiatives including their value to the organization, effort to implement and risk to avoid. 
  • Champion the sustainability message and drive process documentation and conformance throughout the organization. 

What You Bring to the Team

  • Skilled in the collection, aggregation, analysis, and maintenance of extensive datasets. 
  • Bachelor's in Sustainable Business, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or Data Analytics preferred
  • Minimum 1-4 years' experience working in multi-disciplinary teams (technical, design and manufacturing) on the conception, development and launch of consumer products
  • Experience working with global engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Familiarity with basic sustainability topics such as recycled content, recyclability, circular economy, third-party certification schemes, etc.
  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Hardworking and committed to delivering projects on time. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Travel to domestic tradeshows

The hiring range for this position in Itasca, IL is $68,000 to $78,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
