Description

Under the direc tion of Leadership, the Admissions Counselor Intern is responsible for the initial admission interview to include the collection and processing of all data regarding potential admission, the completion of all forms, releases, and referrals, and the orientation of all clients. The Admission Counselor Intern will assemble the client chart, enter computer data, schedule appointments accordingly, interacts with various referral sources and orients the client to the rules and regulations of the applicable program. In addition, the Admissions Counselor will also be responsible for maintain census requirements to the best of their ability. Orientate new clients to the program and specific treatment modality. Familiarize self with record - keeping practices and standards. Participate in administrative and clinical meetings as required . Practice 12 core functions of counseling. Participate in supervisory sessions and six-month evaluations. Learn and adhere to ethical standards of counselors as documented in the Alcohol and Drug Counselors handbook. Inform clients that clinical services are being provided by counselor in training under the supervision of a licensed counselor.
