Description:

Wagstaff manufactures equipment for aluminum producers, who process formed aluminum into parts and products you use every day.

Schedule: 5 AM- 3:30 PM M-TH

Pay: $19.07- $25.80 per hour, depending on experience

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500.00

Job Summary

Assist with the set up and operation of production machines CNC and/or manual in order to produce production parts to required tolerances.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the set up and operation of CNC and/or manual production machines in accordance with documented procedures
  • Operate machines using best and safe practices
  • Must produce parts within required tolerances
  • Follow documented processes
  • Maintain a high degree of quality
  • Function as a team member and support other teams
  • Maintain accurate paperwork
  • Housekeeping/maintenance of work area and machinery
  • Willingness to cross-train on other machines as required
  • In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
  • Identify product/process improvements, and participate with co-workers to implement these improvements
  • Abide by company policies
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Mechanical drawings for applications of tolerances and fit
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and, at a minimum, the use of power hand tools such as drills and saws
  • Measuring instruments including tape measures, calipers, or micrometers

Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, machinery and equipment, and vibration. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. While performing some job duties, there is a risk of electrical shock and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Job duties may require work in high, precarious places, work in outside weather conditions, and exposure to extreme temperatures in some cases. The noise level in the working environment is often loud. Because of this environment and associated risks, use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required.
