About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking a Client Platform Engineer (CPE) to join our Federal IT Operations team, supporting GovCloud environments (Gov1 & Gov2). This role plays a key part in delivering secure, scalable, and compliant technical solutions to U.S. Government customers.
You’ll maintain and optimize infrastructure and services in highly regulated cloud environments. This position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, automation, federal compliance (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, CJIS), and operations across federal enclaves. You will collaborate closely with engineering, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure the delivery of reliable and compliant GovCloud services.
What You’ll Do:

  • Support endpoint management by monitoring, patching, securing, troubleshooting, automating, and optimizing employee laptop/desktop systems.

  • Streamline and improve employee-facing application experiences, test application releases, and research solutions for common pain points.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Windows desktop configurations, best practices, and features.

  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects.

  • Evaluate, install, and support new internal products and services.

  • Document and enhance IT policies, procedures, and system processes.

  • Collaborate with FedOps, Security, Compliance, and SRE teams to ensure system availability, integrity, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FedRAMP High, CJIS, DoD IL4/5).

  • Troubleshoot issues with root cause analysis and complete follow-up documentation.

  • Monitor performance in a 24x7 environment and implement proactive solutions.

  • Support VDI environments (e.g., AWS Workspaces), cloud-native tools, and identity integrations.

  • Create and maintain operational documentation and compliance artifacts for audits and reviews.

  • What You’ll Need:
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain or maintain federal security clearance.

  • 3–6 years of experience in platform, systems, or cloud infrastructure engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud or similar regulated cloud environments.

  • Strong background in Linux administration, scripting (Python, Bash), and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53).

  • Experience with VDI solutions, identity management systems (e.g., SAML, AD/LDAP), and network configuration.

  • Version control (e.g., Git), Agile methodologies, and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).

  • Bonus Points:
  • AWS certifications (e.g., SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect – Associate or higher).

  • Experience working within or alongside U.S. Federal or DoD environments.

  • Knowledge of the CrowdStrike Falcon platform and secure integration practices.

  • Background in secure enclave operations, Zero Trust architectures, or cross-domain environments.

  • Familiarity with MDM tools such as SCCM, InTune, Workspace ONE, and experience with Group Policy.

  • Proficiency in PowerShell and ability to troubleshoot complex endpoint issues.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.
