Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

 

This is support position in the Shipping and Receiving Department of a machine manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be accountable for general tasks related to the Receiving, Shipping and Job Order fulfillment of machine parts for the company’s Assembly Department. 

Training provided to accomplish these, and future duties will include Tow Motor training, Crane training, Rigging and Lift training, Syteline ERP System training and general Safety/OSHA training for working within a shop environment.



Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Properly packaging parts for shipment
  • Unpacking, counting, verifying the quality and quantity of items
  • Putting items away in correct inventory locations
  • Printing pick lists and Pulling parts for customer orders and assembly jobs
  • Working with couriers/freight companies to arrange transportation
  • Maintaining general housekeeping within the dept


Qualifications

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent & 1-3 years of experience in shipping & recieving
  • Proven quality and accuracy focus with a process mindset
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, MS Excel a plus
  • Knowledge in use of power hand tools
  • Ability to easily lift 50 lb. packages or parts
  • Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand and solve problems involving multiple variables
  • Willingness to work afterhours and on weekends to facilitate customer needs
  • Note that this role will require the possibility of off-hours and weekend coverage as well as 40+ hours a week

The estimated range for this role is $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.  Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
