At Spartronics, as the Inventory Control Supervisor you will provide daily supervision of employees relating to Receiving, Inventory, and Shipping departments, expertly utilize the ERP system (Microsoft AX) to perform inventory transactions while verifying and maintain accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials while working cross functionally with all departments to ensure kit readiness and shortage fulfillment.


What a Day Looks Like:

  • Provides direct supervision to employees in Receiving, Inventory, and Shipping (currently about 8 people).
  • Plans, assigns, and adjusts work priorities to across multiple functions to ensure most efficient flow of material for kits in alignment with monthly/quarterly revenue plan.
  • Learn and master all aspects of the ERP system to be able to perform and train other employees on best practices.
  • Report any unforeseen shortages or issues to the appropriate customer team.
  • Plan and prioritize all kit pulling activities in alignment with month and quarter revenue plans.
  • Identifies, executes, and maintains continuous improvement activities using 6S methodologies, Lean Six Sigma principles, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Collect, prepare, and present area KPIs for daily team meeting and management GEMBA walk on a daily basis.
  • Monitors and oversees employee job performance such as attendance, quality, and productivity.
  • Plans and Supports training activities in and out of department and maintains area skill matrix to accurately reflect employee skills.
  • Respond and react to area KPIs that are not meeting expectations.
  • Establish root cause and corrective action on area related defects and occurrences.
  • Ensures that all processes and procedures are performed as written, and obtains deviations as required.
  • Integrate with production and office departments to ensure priorities are correct and assist with material and transactional challenges as they arise.
  • Support overtime activities on off days and weekends as required by workload.
  • Monitors equipment for proper maintenance and operation.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:

What You'll Need to Bring:

Education- Bachelor's Degree in field of Business or Engineering, equivalent technical certification, and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Associate's degrees or no degree with appropriate experience will be considered.


Experience-

  • 2 or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience preferred.

Skills-

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally, in written form, and using technology. Including presentation of information to upper management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite of programs and familiarity with ERP systems.
