Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in coordinating and executing logistical operations to ensure the smooth flow of materials, supplies, and services within our organization.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform a variety of functions supporting the sustainment of systems and components throughout all stages of the lifecycle
  • Functions will include but may not be limited to the preparation, review and revision of System Maintenance Strategies, Technical Manual sources material, Repair of Bills of Material (BOMs), reviewing and maintaining a technical data package
  • Develop and review maintenance concepts by performing Level of Repair Analyses (LORAs)
  • Evaluate the ability to conduct repairs and testing of both contractors and organic facilities
  • Candidate will also be well-versed in the conduct of Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) and Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACAS)
  • In addition, candidate will have familiarity with configuration management and developing quality management plans
  • Specifically, the ability to review and creating engineering change proposals, understand basic principles of configuration management, and how to incorporate quality acceptance limits into depot product acceptance testing
  • The engineer will also be required to prepare and provide technical input to contracting documents (Performance Work Statements, Independent Government Estimates, etc.)
  • Ancillary duties will also include maintaining administrative awareness of ongoing projects and taskings, conducting and participating in project reviews and briefings, both formal and informal
  • Other tasks/duties may be assigned to support the overall engineering focus areas


Responsibilities

  • ABET Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 1 year of maintenance engineering experience
  • Working knowledge and fundamental understanding of lifecycle management principles and logistics surrounding the sustainment and fielding of military communications and electronic systems
  • A strong understanding of electrical/electronic component functions, applications, assembly, packaging, and testing, and related terminology, as well as a basic understanding of other component types (mechanical, electro-mechanical)
  • Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets
  • Position requires strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to learn custom databases/software-search solutions
  • Position requires strong oral/written communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience using File Repository/Knowledge management applications (e.g. SharePoint, Github, Windchill, and/or Vault)


Qualifications



  • Knowledge of and experience in the Army Maintenance Engineering field
  • Specialized experience developing Maintenance Concepts and documenting them in a Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC)
  • Writing and reviewing Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) or Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
  • Developing reliability and maintainability inputs for the Level of Repair Analysis
  • Overseeing Technical Manual development to accurately capture the required Maintenance and associated troubleshooting processes
  • Preparing Logistics Demonstration Plans
  • Develops maintenance related inputs for the Basis of Issue Plan (BOIP)
  • Reviewing Previsioning Parts List (PPL) and Repair Parts and Special tools Listing (RPSTL)
  • Writing and Reviewing Item Unique Identification (IUID) plans and overseeing the preparation of labels
  • Experience with current military communications and electronics systems
  • Experience with Satellite Communications and Radio Frequency communications
  • Experience implementing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) practices at system and component levels in modern communications and electronics systems
  • Experience with Commercial Parts Research Databases such as MORE, IHS Haystack Gold, Total Parts Plus and QStar
  • Experience writing/preparing contracting documentation (SOW, PWS, IGEs, etc.)
