Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast, with offices located throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Disaster Debris Monitoring Data Manager to oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for disaster debris monitoring projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience with data management systems, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively. This role is on call and subject to change with short notice.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of data collection, analysis, and reporting for disaster debris monitoring projects.
  • Develop and implement data management protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Oversee the collection of field data from monitoring teams, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
  • Organize and maintain databases of collected data, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Analyze collected data to identify trends, patterns, and areas requiring attention.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on debris monitoring findings, including recommendations for mitigation and remediation measures.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to interpret and communicate data effectively.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies in disaster debris management.
  • Provide training and support to field personnel on data collection protocols and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data management and invoice reconciliation in a disaster response or environmental monitoring.
  • Proficiency in data management software and tools, such as GIS, databases, and statistical analysis software.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and work in challenging field conditions as needed.
