Overview

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support our C’treat business located in The Woodlands, TX. The Field Service Technician will provide support to our customers as well as consulting services for both internal and external customers in the area. The Field Service Technician will report potential business opportunities and deliver services and solutions to our customers. Maintain compliance with all established Environmental, Safety & Health policies and procedures. Must be passionate about providing outstanding customer service and delivering results.



Responsibilities

May include:

  • Responsible for start-up and commissioning of packaged equipment.
  • Responsible for trouble shooting customer systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for supporting warranty issues, as they arise.
  • Supports technical training efforts for sales agents and customers.
  • Provides technical support for our authorized service representatives.
  • Complete formal technical field reports, time sheets, JSAs, and expense reports for each field assignment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Extensive travel >80%


Qualifications



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group.
  • In-depth knowledge of installation and startup of centrifugal pumps.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in water treatment system diagnostics
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret pump drawings.
  • Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems and resolve issues.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Well-developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to produce clear, timely, and concise documentation and have well-developed problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply good judgment, strong work ethic, and integrity on the job.
  • Proficient in relevant PC skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills.

Experience:

Two years experience with mechanical equipment on offshore platforms or significant RO experience

 

Education:

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
