Job Summary
The Infectious Disease Advanced Practice Provider (APP) serves as a vital member of the Division of Infectious Disease multidisciplinary team in the ambulatory setting.
The APP is responsible for the evaluation and management of patients referred for Infectious Disease consultation, including new patient referrals, hospital follow-ups, and ongoing outpatient care.
Commonly managed conditions include, but are not limited to, bone and joint infections, nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) infections, and patients receiving outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT).
In this role, the APP plays a key part in coordinating care throughout the outpatient continuum, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
The APP demonstrates advanced medical and clinical knowledge, strong clinical judgment, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and thorough, timely documentation.
A strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and ongoing professional development is essential.
