Research Development Resources Coordinator
The Research Development Resources Coordinator is an integral part of the Pitt Research team. The incumbent will work closely with leadership and staff to curate and disseminate funding opportunity newsletters, ensure that related webpages are accurate and updated, coordinate limited submission and internal funding competitions, and assist with other research development resources and services.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree and preference is at least two years of experience in research development, or related fields. Must have the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member to accomplish program and University goals. This position must work collaboratively within the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research as well as with other central University offices, other academic institutions, sponsors, and vendors. Candidate should have demonstrated facilitation and communication skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels to develop and accomplish shared goals.

Works with the research enterprise to locate funding opportunities compatible with the University’s research strengths and strategic research objectives. Establishes processes and procedures for effective funding opportunities and provides analyses of funding communications. Identifies submission funding and award opportunities, coordinates applications and reviews, strategizes outreach initiatives, and ensures compliance with all funding solicitation and sponsor requirements. Manages research information systems and prepares productivity reports. Promotes research-related services and develops a current funding and limited submission opportunities website.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as with a team, are essential to this role.
Position is mostly sedentary, but may require on campus travel to attend meetings and events.
