Post Doctoral Associate
Med-Microbiology and Molecular Genetics - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25003816)
The Thomas Lab, located within the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate. Our research focuses on how recurrent mutations in PACS1 and PACS2 cause severe neurodevelopmental disorders by disturbing the microtubule transport machinery, membrane contact sites, and calcium handling in vivo. The successful candidate will utilize cell and molecular biology techniques, along with metabolomics, proteomics, and RNA sequencing, to investigate how de novo mutations in PACS1 and PACS2 disrupt proteostasis, neuronal metabolism, and neurotransmission. Candidates should possess the necessary expertise in research methodologies to advance these NIH-funded studies.
Requirements: PhD in cell biology, neurobiology, or a related field.
Qualified candidates should apply to Requisition #25003816 at Home | Talent Center: Careers at Pitt | University of Pittsburgh .
