Quality Control Specialist (QCS)
A. Harold and Associates, LLC, is seeking a Quality Control Specialist (QCS) responsible for inspecting contract development products against a quality standard as part of a training product development team. The QCS is a core member of the development team, working directly with Instructional Designers (ID), Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Web Developer/Graphic Artists (Computer Graphics Specialist/Programmers ([CGS/PRG]) to design and develop instructionally sound training products in accordance with contractual requirements.
This remote position is dependent on the award of a contract, which is expected to be finalized in September 2025.
Qualified candidates for this position should have a strong command of written English, along with experience in critically analyzing, researching, writing, and synthesizing information. Candidates must be comfortable working in a team environment and possess excellent communication skills. Previous experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) is preferred.
Specific Duties/Job Requirements:
- Inspect training products via a variety of mediums (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, authoring tools such as Captivate or Articulate Storyline, Learning Management Systems [LMS], Content Management Systems [CMS])
- Document errors and assign error codes for future tracking
- Implement changes based on internal (peer review) and external (customer) feedback
- Compile and organize feedback data with accuracy
- Work with established templates and develop new templates
- Prevent future errors through participation in team training
- Establish and adhere to best practices documented in Style Guides, Job Aids, and other guidelines
- Work within deadlines
- Demonstrate excellent and consistent attention to detail
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree in English, History, or related field
- Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Acrobat)
- Excellent written/grammar skills
- Effective communication skills
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Mist be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience/Education:
Experience with U.S. Navy training standards and Instructional Design processes or prior experience on a DoD courseware development team
