Position Title: MAI OR ADVANCED CANDIDATE WANTED TO ESTABLISH INDIANAPOLIS BASED COMMERCIAL APPRAISAL OFFICE

Description:
Joseph J. Blake & Associates is seeking MAI designated appraisers or advanced candidates to establish and manage a local Indianapolis area office to service existing clients as well to expand the firm's Midwest footprint.
Joseph J Blake and Associates, Inc. is a national real estate consulting and valuation firm with 13 offices nationwide and has been in operation for over 75 years. As a large private commercial valuation company and independently owned by appraisers, Blake provides appraisal and consulting services to a wide variety of private and institutional clients. Candidates will have the opportunity to develop professionally to their fullest extent in working for a partner-owned firm offering support and advancement not available at public or non-partner owned firms. JOB DESCRIPTION:
Client development, appraisal staff management, appraisal preparation and other related tasks will be the responsibility of the candidate. Professional development in client relations and management will be provided by mentors within the firm.

REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job, an individual should be comfortable with client development and client relations; the ideal candidate should have advanced appraisal skills and have the ability to develop, hire and manage professional staff.
A Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university is required. A degree in real estate, finance or a related field is a plus.
The applicant must have a state certified general real estate appraisal license (multiple state licenses are a plus) and hold the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute or be an advanced candidate nearing completion of their MAI designation requirements.
Experience with Argus DCF and Argus Enterprise preferred.
The ability to manage appraisal staff and complete multiple, simultaneous projects with specific deadlines is a must. Must have the ability to establish priorities and verbal and written communication skills.
