Position Summary:

Control Panel Assembly Tech is required to perform day-to-day functions in the department, building industrial electrical control panels.

Primary Duties:

  • Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels.
  • Build electrical panels and assemblies to UL508A specifications.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical codes and standards (i.e. NEC, UL, etc).
  • Test and troubleshoot control panels to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assemble per instructions or drawings, test, and label as required.
  • Basic warehouse functions, shipping, receiving, and kitting of jobs.

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience assembling and fabricating control panels, in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or quality assurance within an industrial setting.
  • Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, panel layout drawings, and specifications.
  • General understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations governing control panel design, installation, and testing (e.g., NEC, UL 508A).
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, control panel components, and industrial automation technologies.
  • Power-On Testing: Execute comprehensive power-on tests on industrial control panels to verify proper functioning of electrical components, circuitry, and control systems.
  • Compliance Verification: Verify that control panels meet relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Certification(s) in electrical testing, safety, or quality assurance.
  • Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required with valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Multiple years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive. Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed.
  • Work environment may vary including warehouse containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements.

Salary:

$25.00 - $30.00/hour, depending on experience.
