BILLING SPECIALIST

Position Summary Under the supervision of the Finance Manager or Billing Lead, the Billing Specialist ensures accurate and timely financial transactions by managing client billing, accounts receivable, and recruiter commission processing. This role supports the financial health of the organization by preparing and issuing invoices, closely monitoring outstanding balances, posting payments accurately, and proactively resolving billing escalations. The Billing Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and clients, contribute to audit preparedness, and uphold company standards in all financial documentation and communication.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and send invoices to clients.

• Calculate and process recruiter commissions by contract terms.

• Review financial statements to identify inconsistencies or errors.

• Monitor and follow up on unpaid facility invoices.

• Respond to billing inquiries from clients and internal departments.

• Maintain billing records and support audits related to billing.

• Communicate with internal teams and clients on billing issues.

• May perform other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

• Entry level position; 0-2 years of experience in the field preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to meet strict deadlines efficiently.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Familiar with accounts receivable and billing systems.

• Working knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles.

• Adaptable to shifting priorities.

• Motivated self?learner, comfortable with having minimal prior experience.
