The Manager, Partner Success is a strategic marketer and digital marketing advisor responsible for supporting the growth and retention of an agency book of business. Managers lead the day-to-day execution for a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring successful campaign planning, activation, optimization, and reporting. This role serves as a main point of contact for clients, contributes to account growth, and works closely with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class service and results. Managers own mid-size client relationships with oversight from Sr. Managers while supporting the Sr. Managers with the agency’s largest accounts. Managers are responsible for managing and mentoring an Associate or team of Associates and/or Sr. Associates within their Partner Success pod.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Team Support

  • Own day-to-day management of assigned accounts, ensuring campaign timelines, deliverables, and performance expectations are met.
  • Support Sr. Managers on agency’s largest accounts, and own select accounts end-to-end, with oversight from Sr. Manager. For owned accounts, develop retention plans and identify upsell opportunities to support pod revenue targets.
  • Oversee assigned Associates/Sr. Associates, effectively managing team members growth and development and ensuring accountability to assigned work.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, demonstrating responsiveness, reliability, and marketing acumen.
  • Work cross-functionally with Media Activation to translate client objectives into actionable campaign plans and deliver plans to partners.
  • Work in partnership with Media Activation team to ensure flawless campaign setup , ongoing campaign management, optimization and updates, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Proactively identify and address account risks, resourcing issues, or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support and lead department and agency projects as needed.

Professionalism & Communication

  • Represent the agency with polish and professionalism in client communications and meetings.
  • Confidently lead internal and external calls, manage agendas, and ensure follow-through on next steps.
  • Use sound judgment to escalate client or campaign issues appropriately.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, low-drama team culture rooted in direct communication and accountability.

Marketing & Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrate growing fluency in digital marketing strategy across programmatic, paid social, paid search, and measurement.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop media plans based on client objectives using campaign performance data and industry insights. Own process end-to-end for owned accounts, and support Sr. Manager for agency’s largest accounts.
  • Partner with Sr. Managers to identify upsell and renewal opportunities based on account goals and performance and own revenue targets for assigned accounts.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage internal workflows, timelines, and documentation for all assigned accounts.
  • Ensure campaign details, budgets, and performance metrics are accurately tracked in internal systems.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of agency tools and platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, Tableau, Google Analytics).

Team Culture & Growth:

  • Mentor and support Associates/Sr. Associates in campaign management and client communications, mentoring across pods as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing or agency account management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing experience.
  • Working knowledge of digital media platforms and campaign KPIs.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, and industry tools/platforms.
  • Working knowledge of ad platforms (The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta, etc) a plus.
  • Reliable, accountable, and confident in owning workstreams.
  • Proactive and resourceful with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Builds trusted relationships with clients and teammates.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts quickly to change.
