Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) Subject Matter Expert
A. Harold and Associates, LLC, is seeking a part-time Aviation Electronics Technician (AT) Subject Matter Expert (SME). The AT SME is a core member of the development team, working directly with Instructional Designers (ID), Quality Control Specialists (QCS), and Computer Graphics Specialist/Programmers (CGS/PRG) to design and develop instructionally sound training products in accordance with contractual requirements. This is a remote position, with occasional travel required to Pensacola, Florida, as needed.
This position is dependent on the award of a contract, which is expected to be finalized in September 2025.
Specific Duties/Job Requirements:
  • Verifies and ensures the technical accuracy of the subject content and the treatment of content in instructional materials chosen or produced for the project
  • Considers the relationship of the subject undergoing development to other subjects in the curriculum or instructional program; makes recommendations to enhance the training situation
  • Identifies elements in the content that may be difficult, confusing, or a likely area of trouble for students
  • Travel to attend working group meetings and conferences as required
  • Supports the development team in the analysis, design, and development of project materials
  • Understands and articulates project scope and vision to align with client and contract requirements
  • Interacts and collaborates with United States Government (USG) SMEs
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Experience/Education:
  • Must have at least six (6) years of operational experience with the U.S. Navy AT rating
  • Last active operational experience must be within the past five (5) years or applicants must be a current member of the active Navy Reserves
  • Must be familiar with Aviation Electrician's Mate (AE) and Aviation Structural Mechanic (AM) ratings
  • Must be able to travel to Pensacola, Florida as required for work assignment
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Experience/Education:
  • Preferred to have at least eight (8) years of operational experience with the U.S. Navy AT rating
  • Preferred to have obtained at least a rank of Petty Officer 1st Class (E-6) during active duty for the U.S. Navy service or currently as a member of the active Navy Reserves
  • Preferred proficiency in Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
