As part of the Kito Crosby team, you will be supporting channel partners and end users around the world using Kito Crosby products in mission critical applications ranging from development of renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing and infrastructure development.


Job Summary:

This Small Drills Operator will set up and operate the following tools: Saws, Tapper Machine, Drill Presses, Bolt Machines, Center Drill Machine, Excello, Tubing/Pipe Part Off Machine, Small Bar Lathe, and Engine Lathe/Turret Lathe for Machining roll forged sheave hubs 10” finish diameter and smaller. Must be able to operate one or more machines as required to meet production and quality standards with maximum productivity.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and operate in a highly efficient manner all tools listed in Job Summary.*
  2. Read and understand blueprints.*
  3. Have basic knowledge of shop math.*
  4. Lift 1 to 40 pounds several times a day.*
  5. Stand, walk, bend over, twist and reach to safely operate machines, pick up and assemble parts and retrieve parts and equipment from other areas of the plant.*
  6. Effectively communicate with supervisors, trainers, and coworkers.*
  7. See, read, and write to comprehend safety warnings, operate machines, read assembly instructions, and do necessary paperwork.*
  8. Learn and have a long term memory to follow verbal and written instructions/specifications.*
  9. Punctuality and regular attendance are important to maintain manufacturing schedules.*
  10. Will be exposed to some dust, smoke, and fumes normal to any manufacturing environment.*

Special Location/Position Requirements:

Small Drills Operator Class “A” (Grade 8)

  • Meet all qualifications for “B” Class.
  • Higher level of experience required in accordance with Company policy and progression rules.
  • Will also work to close tolerances on threads.

Job Specifications:

• 2 years’ relevant Manufacturing experience required.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical / Environmental Conditions:

Daily exposure to shop conditions, which are variable depending on the task assigned, but are generally dirty. Is subject to shop noise. Involves extensive standing and walking. Skin and eyes are subject to drying and irritating fumes, vapors and solutions controlled to OSHA standards. Works indoors with sometimes dusty or confining work areas when in the shop/lab.
