Responsibilities

Coordinates area functions to allow services to be delivered expediently and efficiently through effective organization of staff and workflow.  Maintains knowledge of department procedures in order to provide assistance throughout the patient care continuum.  Performs imaging procedures according to physician's orders and screening protocols, utilizing knowledge and judgment in regard to exposure factors, imaging technique, and patient care.  Proficient in the fields of General Radiology and Mammography.  Assures compliance with MQSA standards.



Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology school or program.

 

Experience:

At least three years’ experience in General Radiology and Mammography.

One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Supervisory course work and working knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles preferred.

Medical terminology and computer experience preferred.

Knowledge of MQSA requirements.
