$25.47/hr + $2.00/hr for CDL's +$.30/hr Shift Premium
Job Summary:
Load all finished products on trucks to be shipped to customers. Perform other tasks as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review load list and visually check skids, carts and pallets to be loaded.
Determine trailer space versus material to be loaded for proper load distribution
Recheck load list for tractor trailer match-up
Load and unload truck and check weight
Secure load to prevent damage and shifting
Upon completion of loading, distribute all necessary paperwork
Move truck and stage accordingly
Regular attendance required
Must be able to safely operate a commercial vehicle and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License, HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
Band carts and skids
Must work all physical inventories
Perform other positions appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of all Shipping Dept. functions and loading procedures applicable to DOT and Company standards.
Knowledge of safety standards pertaining to Shipping Department
Ability to operate equipment in a comfortable and safe manner
Knowledge of hazardous material and safe handling procedures
Minimum Requirements:
Class A CDL, 1+ years of Shipping experience and 1+ years of over-the-road driving experience
Working Conditions
Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50lbs)
Rotating Shift Scheduled 6am-4pm AND 4pm to 2am
Environment:
Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights
