Due to our continued growth and success, we are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team. 

 

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable department as well as directing staff in processing invoices and payments for the business organization. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must have strong knowledge of accounts payable functions as well as strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Manage and supervise the Accounts payable department daily tasks- workflow for timely invoice processing and payments and handling vendor relations.
  • Responsible for monthly closing of the records and month-end and postings to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Being able to have or effectively develop a system for processing and distributing payments promptly, as well as making sure invoices are handled accurately.
  • Clearing account payments, working with other departments in regards to financial transactions throughout the company.
  • Handling issues or concerns with vendors about payment distributions. 
  • Experience processing purchase orders.

 

Supervisor Duties:

Besides handling the daily duties within the department, the Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff within the department by selecting new hires, training staff on new procedures and evaluating workers to determine whether their performance is satisfactory for the department and the company.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
