Responsibilities

Able to use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually and dimensionally in-process assemblies, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, completed mechanical units and manufactured parts.
Use various inspection tools and devices.
Accept or reject any non-conforming or specifications, inspection instructions and checklists.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with internal procedures and customer and regulatory requirements. 
Ensure quality standards and specifications are met on incoming products.
Record and approve/reject products.
Interface with Buyers, Planners, Design Engineers, Mechanical Engineers & Quality Engineering Departments, and customers.
Verify calibration of area tools.
Ensure product and certification conformance to blueprint, customer specifications, M.O. and P.O. requirements
Approve tech layouts and building inspections.
Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.

Qualifications

•    Requires familiarity with AS 9100. 
•    Familiarity on First Article processes per AS 9102.
•    High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent
•    A minimum of 5 years in quality inspection/machining (final, source and in process inspection) working in a manufacturing environment.
•    Computer skills & knowledge
•    Mechanical aptitude, problem solving abilities, basic math skills.
•    Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
•    Ability to read and comprehend specs and work instructions.
•    Ability to work under limited supervision.
•    Some knowledge of inspection equipment
•    Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
•    Basic GD&T knowledge preferred.

 

Hourly rate: $26.86 - $37.92
