Description:

Overview:

Under the direct supervision of the Senior Credit Analyst and/or Credit Department Manager, the analyst performs risk analysis on new credit requests and existing credit relationships for C&I, Commercial Real Estate and Commercial Construction Loans in accordance with established Bank policies and procedures. Focus is generally on the more straight-forward commercial loan relationships.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness:

  • Ensures credit underwriting standards are applied consistently to credit requests. Conducts research and due diligence and applies appropriate underwriting techniques to assess the credit risk in individual credit requests.
  • Conducts annual reviews on line of credit renewals.
  • Spreads financial statements.
  • May be called upon to work with the Credit Assistant in preparing various reports or in conducting research projects.
  • Provides cross coverage support for the Credit Assistant.

OTHER ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.

Requirements:
  • Minimum one year experience in banking preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • Motivation to learn and acquire credit analysis skills and knowledge in the commercial credit and loan risk management field.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of applied accounting and finance concepts as well as, an aptitude for performing financial analysis and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including Excel, banking core processing systems and enterprise level data solutions.
