Accounts Receivable Specialist



The Hillman Cancer Center (HCC) provides exceptional patient care as a world leader in understanding, preventing, and treating cancer through the integration of scientific discovery, clinical excellence, and community partnerships, while training the next generation of cancer experts. The Accounts Receivable Specialist position is within the Fiscal Team of HCC. This is a hybrid position, working 2 days a week onsite, and as needed for meetings.


Job Summary

Reconciles invoices. Handles status inquiries for payment and paperwork tracking. Maintains and utilizes University financial and purchasing system.


Essential Functions

Responsible for managing the inflow of funds owed for services rendered on a variety of contracts.

Monitor transactions related to receivables, follow-up on overdue payments for collections, ensure accuracy of accounts receivable reports.

Assign payments to the line item level within OnCore based on payment backup.

Collaborate with Financial Account Coordinators on outstanding invoice issues and if payments vary from contracted amount.


Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
