About the role:

As a Sr Accounting Manager at TQL, you will lead key accounting functions, ensuring accounting accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role requires a hands-on leader to drive financial insights, process optimization, and team performance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Contribute to strategic, functional and operational direction for accounting operations that may include AR, AP and GL processes
  • Participate in the ongoing development and establishment of accounting policies, procedures and operational practices
  • Build a high functioning team fostering a culture of excellence in service, performance and continuous improvement by setting clear expectations, delegating tasks and ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Ensure transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely fashion in compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Manage accounting sub-ledgers and related reserves to ensure validity and proper valuation of recorded assets and liabilities
  • Leverage accounting expertise to support new processes, tools and technology working cross-functionally to improve efficiency of operations, reducing operating expenses and streamlining end-to-end processes
  • Effectively lead deployment of initiatives and manage changes with team and business partners
  • Drive improvements through automation, standardization and strategic planning to ensure efficiency and adaptability as the business grows. This includes streamlining processes, leveraging technology and developing a robust financial framework that can handle increased workloads without significant increases in resources
  • Establish and analyze financial and operational reports, providing actionable insight to leadership
  • Interact at all levels and with other stakeholders to produce timely and accurate month-end close, internal management and financial reporting
  • Identify and implement robust internal controls to ensure full compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Develop and monitor KPI’s for measuring progress towards organizational goals
  • Make compelling, concise and well-supported recommendations for changes as needed
  • Work with Audit, Tax, Treasury, Legal and other accounting departments to ensure overall coordination of financial accounting activities and risks. Anticipate and recognize financial opportunities and exposures and escalate appropriately by explaining the underlying issues and proposed solutions
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate resolution of discrepancies and pursuit of opportunities
  • Develop employees for broader responsibilities within team and across the organization
  • Evaluate financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities to improve profitability
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices
  • Provide and seek 360 feedback
  • Assume additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as requested


What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in finance and accounting roles with supervisory experience required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and accounting operations within a large ERP
  • Highly proficient in financial software and Excel. Oracle experience a plus
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects and manage concurrent responsibilities
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Superior work ethic and attention to detail
