Temporary Receptionist

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a national law firm with a proven reputation for providing progressive, industry-leading legal, business, regulatory and government relations advice to our regional, national and international clients.

We are currently seeking a temporary Receptionist for our Chicago, IL office. This position reports to the Office Manager and is responsible for providing a professional and pleasant atmosphere in the Reception area and to act as a concierge to give the highest level of customer service to clients and employees..

Work schedule will be 8:30am - 5:00pm M-F


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures professional client reception services by greeting clients and visitors, attending to their hospitality needs, communicating with staff and attorneys regarding their arrival, and monitoring emergent issues.
  • Answers all incoming phone calls, ensuring all calls are redirected accordingly.
  • Ensures security procedures are followed by issuing temporary security cards according to procedural expectations and monitoring egress of personnel.
  • Schedules and coordinates conference/video calls, as needed.
  • Assists with conference room meeting set ups and break downs, including catering orders.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of receptionist or administrative assistant experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Outlook.
