Physical Requirements
Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders upto 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Continuous working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.
Shift
Normal shift is 8 hours during weekdays, but some evening or weekend periods may be necessary.
Job Summary
The Saha Cardiovascular Research Center is hiring Research Analyst to assist with the planning and implementation of research in animal and cell culture models of cardiometabolic disease.

The disease mechanisms under investigation require the candidate to be well-trained in biochemical analyses of cells and tissues including nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and metabolites.Proficiency in handling and performing basic procedures on laboratory animals is desired.

Laboratory management activities include compliance with institutional, state and federal regulations governing biomedical research, data recording and retention, and the maintenance of laboratory supplies, reagents and research animals.

Data analysis skills and the ability to clearly write and present methods, technical reports, and research findings are also required.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience handling mice, basic lab skills, (e.g., pipetting); basic computer skills (e.g., MS windows, excel)
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and five years of relevant lab experience.
