In response to this community-wide challenge, Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services (PCHAS), provides 14 programs and services in 28 locations, in Missouri, Texas, and Louisiana, which provide children with permanent homes and adults with increased self-sufficiency. Status: Non-exempt
Working Conditions: Officed at the assigned foster care and adoption office. Position is performed in a typical office setting. Utilizes typical office equipment. Occasional local travel using employee’s own vehicle. The Administrative Assistant travels to other PCHAS offices as needed. Schedule is part time with typical office hours with occasional evening and/or weekend hours. Position is subject to mild/moderate stress.
Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant is a position created to provide assistance in the administrative area of the Foster Care program under the direction of the Program Director. Job responsibilities are primarily centered on assisting the Foster Care and Adoption program through such related duties as clerical, records, tracking data for program staff, and assisting case managers with filing in foster home and youth’s records.Â

Other Requirements: Must hold a valid driver’s license, have and maintain a risk-free driving record. Must be willing to undergo initial and periodic child abuse/neglect, criminal history, sexual offender, and childcare/elder care disqualification list screenings. As requested, must submit fingerprints for review by the state of your employment and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Must undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a pre-employment physical with the results showing no evidence of communicable disease.
