Job Title: IT Systems Administrator (On-Site Position), Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)
As a vital support member of our community bank’s technology team, the IT Systems Administrator plays a key role in maintaining and securing the bank’s IT infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on daily operational support and the implementation of systems under the guidance of the IT leadership team. It’s ideal for a detail-oriented, technically skilled professional who enjoys troubleshooting, learning new systems, and ensuring reliable technology service in a collaborative, service-minded environment.
You will work with internal teams to ensure systems remain functional, secure, and responsive to the evolving needs of the bank and our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations Support: Perform routine updates, maintenance, and monitoring of switches, routers, servers, firewalls, and the phone system.
Patch & Security Support: Assist in the identification and patching of system vulnerabilities in alignment with security protocols.
System Monitoring: Track performance and availability of IT systems and escalate issues as needed.
Helpdesk & End-User Support: Respond to user support tickets and resolve common IT issues.
FIS System Familiarization: Participate in training related to FIS products to support user needs.
Project Support: Contribute to IT projects as directed, including documentation and implementation tasks.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate system documentation and assist with compliance tasks related to IT audits and regulatory needs.
Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors on equipment support or software issues as assigned.
Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across departments to ensure IT support aligns with operational priorities.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Professional office setting using standard office technology.
Regular use of hands and eyes for computer tasks; occasional lifting or moving of office equipment.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong foundational knowledge of networks, hardware, and operating systems.
Experience with basic administration of firewalls, switches, and servers.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity and system monitoring tools.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field.
Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent).
2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure or support roles.
Familiarity with FIS banking systems is a plus.
