Basic Purpose
Administers the company’s recruitment and selection programs for internal and external candidates including pre-employment activities, on-boarding, apprenticeships and related programs. Develops relationships with hiring managers and facilitates the entire recruitment and selection process from beginning to end, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, new hire processing and on-boarding. Implements programs and initiatives that address the Company’s strategic staffing needs.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works closely with management to develop and implement strategic recruitment and selection programs. Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs and to develop strategic staffing plans. Implements strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality employees.
Develops and maintains relationships in the community through organizations and other recruiting sources to include targeted job fairs, universities, trade associations, and search firms. Researches and investigates innovative sourcing strategies. Recommends and initiates appropriate advertising for open positions. Develops screening criteria and behavioral-based interview questions.
Reviews and screens applicant resumes, conducts phone screens, coordinates and conducts in-person interviews, and provides guidance to hiring managers on recruitment and selection activities. Conducts and/or facilitates pre-employment activities such as testing of applicants, employment and background checks, physicals, drug testing, relocation, and on-boarding. Provides a professional, seamless, and quality recruiting and new hire experience for applicants and new hires. Assists with development and facilitation of training programs for hiring managers on topics such as recruitment and selection processes and behavioral interviewing skills.
Ensures timely and accurate processing of requisitions, resume screening, interviews, job offers, new hire processing, rejection letters, and other related recruiting processes. Ensures that recruitment and selection activities are in compliance with company policy and EEO, Affirmative Action, and ADA guidelines.
Coordinates and administers the internship program. Works closely with Company personnel regarding the Apprenticeship Program to ensure strategic planning for the recruiting and selection of new Apprentices.
Writes periodic reports to senior HR management on recruiting/employment activities. Tracks, audits and analyzes recruitment programs and processes including turnover rates, time-to-fill, and open positions.
Oversees and administers programs such as affirmative action, management of contingent workers, and employment visas, as applicable.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Bachelors degree in the area of specialty from an accredited school and 6 years of related experience.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience.
