The starting salary for this role is $72,916 per year.

About the role:

Responsible for the product lifecycle and support of PenAir's card products, systems, and solutions to ensure full functionality on a daily and ongoing basis. Stay abreast of the industry landscape to ensure the credit union remains relevant with our card products, systems, and solutions. Work directly with vendors to achieve desired results and maintain strong relationships between departments and internal/external contacts. Works closely with various managers across PenAir to ensure collaborative and frictionless products, systems and solutions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for card product engagement and the servicing, systems, and solutions related to the debit and credit card programs. Coordinates updates, feature releases, and product migrations with stakeholders and vendors/partners to ensure successful implementations. Coordinates recovery of losses due to fraudulent activity.
  • Identifies, recommends, and executes changes or campaigns that improve the engagement, experience, performance, and efficiency of PenAir’s payments products and services. Ensures product and project prioritization aligns with the credit union's strategic initiatives.
  • Implements and maintains new and existing card products and services that support the credit union’s strategic initiatives and business objectives. Ensures both product maintenance and product innovation are prioritized. Collaborate with all involved departments and vendors/partners to implement projects and initiatives, often managing multiple projects or initiatives at the same time.
  • Evaluates and manages third party vendor relationships associated with card products to ensure optimal performance. Analyze product usage and data to understand both member and credit union needs and determine product and project prioritization.
  • Manages a cohesive, trained, and motivated team to ensure department needs are met by providing training, individual team member development, support, and leadership for staff. Influence team and other stakeholders towards continuous improvement of card products, systems, and solutions. Manages employee performance, while coaching and setting individual goals. Facilitates new hire process for new Card Services employees. Assists with card-related training across the organization as needed.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience, including management experience. Knowledge of card networks and card processing systems and familiarity with relevant regulations governing card products and services.
  • (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
  • The ability to motivate or influence internal or external senior level professionals is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequently complex, senior level dialogues, as well as a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
