Under the direct supervision of the PCCP Superintendent and/or Survey Coordinator, the Ideal candidate would have construction survey experience including with understanding of setting form line and grade, joints lines, Machine Control survey for PCCP pavement machines, staking, setting project control points, running levels, experience with Trimble and Leica survey equipment, understanding of plans, machine control models, surfaces, staking building grid lines, footings and wall lines.



Position_Description :

**This position could be working on your own or overseeing a survey crew - the responsibilities could change depending on the assignment. **

The hours (40-70+ hours a week) will be long and the ideal candidate needs to be willing to work at least 6 days a week during the summer months (peak construction season).

  • Sets up, adjusts, and operates surveying equipment, including robotic total station, data collector, GPS equipment, grading and PCCP machine control.
  • Prepares field notes and drawings; and performs field surveying for roadways, bridges, including installing surveying construction stakes and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control.
  • Maintains field data records, survey project files, and importing/exporting staking files
  • Proactively upholds all safety polices and standards.
  • Maintains strict adherence to Company policies and procedures.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as directed.


Position Requirements :

  • A minimum of 3 years of survey experience with a heavy Civil / Highway construction is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with Trimble and Leica equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and MS Outlook Exchange is preferred but not mandatory.
