The Assistant Director of Engagement is responsible for the planning and implementation of events for the Office of Alumni Relations and Resource Development (ARRD) at Harvard Kennedy School. Executes all logistics for events including liaising with faculty, senior leadership, donors, and alumni, managing event budgets, and providing direction to staff, vendors, and event volunteers. The position also works closely with colleagues within ARRD and across HKS on invitee development, attendee acquisition, event planning, event collateral production, and event attendee follow up. The Assistant Director reports to the Managing Director of Strategic Engagement and Financial Management.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and program management of donor and alumni engagement activities or comparable experience.

Work Format Details
This is a position that is based at a Harvard campus location with some remote work options available. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. All remote work must be performed within one of the Harvard Registered Payroll States, which currently includes Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Virginia, Washington, and California (CA for exempt positions only). Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
