In close collaboration with the Director, the Marketing Manager, Adult and Professional Education Marketing, develops and implements strategic marketing campaigns for a portfolio of online non-credit professional education programs. The Marketing Manager works closely with partner agencies to manage media buys and campaigns, as well as ensure campaigns are on schedule and all required assets are delivered. The individual in this position provides detailed project management support to the Director of Adult and Professional Education Marketing. The Marketing Manager collaborates with the Adult and Professional Education Marketing team to maximize campaigns across all media available. This position will partner with the communications, admissions, enrollment and corporate development teams in the College of Professional Studies and the Office of Online Programs to identify marketing and communications opportunities and needs. The Marketing Manager will help to develop and maintain reports to track key campaign metrics and performance. The Marketing Manager must be able to analyze data from various sources and extract actionable takeaways and insights. This position collaborates with staff across the University Communication and Marketing department as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Director with developing and implementing strategic marketing campaigns for a portfolio of online non-credit professional education programs. The Marketing Manager will work closely with partner agencies to manage media buys and campaigns, as well as ensure campaigns are on schedule and all required assets are delivered. The individual in this position provides detailed project management support to the Director of Adult and Professional Education Marketing.
  • Manages the development and execution of analytics for integrated recruitment marketing campaigns and assists in maintaining online advertising platforms. Responsible for oversight and management of a comprehensive suite of analytics tools and related reporting to be used throughout the entire online recruitment journey. Reports on digital advertising metrics, return on investment, web analytics, email tracking, and overall success of marketing campaigns. Calculates and identifies trends in key metrics to help inform strategic planning and adjustments on tactical execution.
  • This position collaborates with the Adult and Professional Education Marketing team, as well as communications, admissions, enrollment and corporate development teams in the College of Professional Studies to identify marketing and communications opportunities and needs.
  • Coordinates with and collaborates with University Communication and Marketing functional areas as needed.
  • Performs other duties and assists with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 4+ years of hands-on digital marketing and project management experience.
  • Must be a team player with strong writing, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be a flexible, upbeat, energetic self-starter who enjoys collaboration with a wide variety of constituencies.
  • Must have a deep commitment to the well-being of the University, a commitment to the University’s Catholic/Augustinian heritage, advancement of its mission and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
  • The individual must be a strong project manager with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • The individual must have proven expertise in digital marketing and in executing paid, social and SEO strategies, in addition to demonstrated lead generation experience/success (higher ed preferred).
  • The individual must have detailed working knowledge of the marketing function, including brand management, advertising and promotion, and digital communications.
  • Must have a proven record of developing, executing and evaluating strategic and tactical marketing and communications plans.
  • Must be a strong copyeditor.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn.
  • Must be competent at performing marketing research, competitor analysis, and possess a working knowledge of databases.
  • Must be proficient in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or advertising is preferred.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience within a higher education or sophisticated non-profit environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PC and MAC platforms; server technology.
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Must have the ability to work some evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays as the demands of the job dictate.
