IT Support Specialist

Core4ce is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled JBSA IT Support Specialist to join our team of innovators, self-starters, and critical thinkers at the DHA - Fort Sam Houston location. Your responsibilities will include providing first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and applications problems. You will be expected to resolve user-reported problems using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and resolving various issues/requests for peripheral devices
Responsibilities
- Maintaining an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, modems, network cards, and other components and equipment
- Ensuring that Government assets are maintained responsibly.
- Creating and maintaining good technical documentation to assist with the quick resolution of future problems
- Ensure all IT policies and procedures are up to date and properly followed.

Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance
- At least 1 -2 years of professional experience in information technology or a directly related field.
- Experience supporting enterprise hardware, software, peripherals, specifically Microsoft and COTS software.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
- Knowledge of computer hardware, including laptops, desktops, servers, and networking equipment
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving software issues
- Familiarity with the principles of IT security
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience with IT support ticketing systems
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentation
- Understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and wireless networking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other common desktop applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Experience providing end-user support and resolving issues to ensure reliable and efficient operation
- Proven track record of maintaining IT equipment and managing inventory
- Experience with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of computer systems and applications
- Prior experience working in a military or defense-related environment is a plus
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and adherence to best practices in IT service management
- Experience with remote desktop applications and VPN technologies
- Demonstrated ability to follow policies and procedures for IT support
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or education in IT are highly desirable
- Experience in creating and updating technical documentation
- History of working effectively in a team and contributing to team goals
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in the IT field
