**This is a full-time onsite role in San Antonio, TX., or Falls Church, VA. This is a W-2 opportunity with a 3-year duration.**

Position Summary

The role will assist in the evaluation, documentation, and enhancement of business and clinical processes across the Defense Health Agency's (DHA) Facilities Enterprise (FE) and related healthcare operations. This role plays a critical part in driving operational efficiency by analyzing workflows, facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic decision-making through process optimization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed process flowcharts and diagrams using Microsoft Visio to support workflow analysis and process improvement initiatives.Create and refine complex process flow diagrams, use cases, and visual documentation to support the streamlining of systems, procedures, and business operations.Utilize Microsoft Visio to produce a wide range of visual process documentation, including:FlowchartsSwim lane diagramsOrganizational chartsBusiness process modelsBuilding and floor plansData flow diagrams3D maps and related visualsSupport Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) efforts across the DHA Facilities Enterprise (FE) by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.Assist in the continuous improvement of DHA FE's processes, standards, and documentation tools.Ensure all process documentation aligns with DHA policies and industry best practices for accuracy and consistency.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and document current business workflows and identify potential areas for improvement or optimization.At the direction of the Government, work directly with end-users and teams to diagnose operational issues and recommend appropriate tools, technologies, and process changes without bias toward specific solutions.Clarify, track, and document end-to-end processes using workflow tools and communication best practices, highlighting areas such as bottlenecks, redundancies, and growth opportunities.Support the facilitation of stakeholder meetings and process design sessions, working under the guidance of the government lead to ensure effective collaboration and clear documentation of shared goals.Prepare and present reports that summarize process flow analysis, visual representations, and improvement recommendations for leadership review.Assist with the design and visualization of workflows to enable effective execution of organizational strategies and operational improvements.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution – OR –Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) or Black Belt (LSSBB) certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process documentation.2–3 years of experience in process mapping or a related field (certification not required).Must have Real ID or Passport in order to undergo commercial airfare travelMust have valid driver's license

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office setting. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and photocopiers. The work environment is generally quiet and free from exposure to loud noise, hazardous materials, or heavy machinery. Employees are typically seated for extended periods and may occasionally move about the office to attend meetings or access equipment and supplies.

Physical Demands

Sitting/Standing: This role is generally sedentary, performing sitting work utilizing technological office equipment, including a laptop, mouse, keyboard, computer monitors, telephones, scanners, and copiers.

Walking: This role requires the ability to move about inside the office to access the required technological equipment.

Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: This role may require stooping to reload printer trays with print paper, moving equipment, and managing cords.

Using Hands/Fingers: This role constantly operates technological office equipment such as laptops, mice, keyboards, computer monitors, telephones, scanners, and copiers.

Talking/Hearing: This role requires constant communication with others in the organization to exchange information, review information, and make decisions about information.

Seeing: This role requires seeing, viewing, and distinguishing all aspects of internal and external communications.

Carrying/Lifting: This role requires lifting up to 20lbs to transport technological office equipment to and from various workspaces.
