Pay Range: $19.60/hr. + $4.57/hr. (Health & Wellness Benefit)

SA-TECH supports the U.S. Army Sustainment Command’s Enhance Army Global Logistics Enterprise Logistics Support Services at Schofield Barracks and Pohakuloa Training Area, HI. We provide maintenance services in the form of above-brigade-level, field, sustainment, and limited depot-level maintenance support as well as transportation counseling services and handling passenger, equipment, and cargo movements for Army Field Support Battalion Hawaii’s (AFSBn-HAW) assigned tactical units and government affiliated civilian agencies.


We are currently hiring a Travel Clerk I (TCI) at our Schofield Barracks, HI location to perform a full range of administrative tasks and technical duties that support transportation operations tied to Army Logistic Support Services. The TCI provides customer service for military and civilian personnel to facilitate relocation of personal property and family members based on orders, transportation entitlements, Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and Defense Transportation Regulations (DTR).


Essential job duties include (but may not be limited to):

  • Acknowledging and greeting customers upon entry to the facility.
  • Reading and deciphering military orders.
  • Answering questions or seeking guidance from a TCII or TCIII to do so.
  • Efficiently and accurately schedule counseling appointments.
  • Verifying data in the Defense Personal Property System before scheduling counseling appointment.
  • Maintaining customer correspondence regarding appointment scheduling via email and phone.
  • Ensuring internal trackers are updated with completed workload.
  • Keeping up on internal filing.
  • Attending training on how to process shipments for: Unaccompanied Baggage (UB), Household Goods (HHG), Storage (Temporary, Non-Temporary, and Special), Local Moves, Personally Procured Moves, and Privately Owned Vehicles (POV).
  • Reading/understanding JTR and DTR regulations to increase knowledge.
  • Reading/understanding/following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reading/understanding the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and its requirements.

Additional job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Cross-utilization in other job duties such as safety, security and environmental.
  • Housekeeping of office areas and area surrounding the office entrances.
  • Overtime work as required.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary.

Work Conditions:

  • Work is typically performed in well-ventilated and lighted areas.
  • May be required to lift 25 to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • May be required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time while working.
  • May be required to put in overtime work as required.
Requirements:

Education/Experience/Skills

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • At least two (2) years of customer experience.
  • At least two (2) years administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of Defense Transportation Regulations and Joint Travel Regulations.
  • Ability to research and explain regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to the position.
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and well organized.
  • Team player and self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior multi-tasking skills.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided and candidates must reside within commuting distance or indicate a willingness to relocate at their own expense.
  • Current HI Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NACI clearance.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include Drug, SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
  • Pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing will be conducted throughout employment.
