Responsibilities

The Facilities group at Weston & Sampson is an architectural & engineering design group headquartered in New England, with additional team members located in New York, North Carolina and Florida. We are seeking Job Captains or Senior Job Captains with approximately 6-10 years’ experience for our Ft. Myers, Florida office. Work will include architectural design projects for the Facility group’s clients, supporting the company’s other engineering discipline groups, and participating and contributing to the expansion of the Facility group’s growing project base.



Qualifications



We foster a collaborative and innovative design process with a focus on multi-faceted and complex public works, industrial, and recreational facilities for municipalities throughout New England and down the east coast.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Support our Facilities Architecture team in the planning and design of new and renovated facilities. Work includes programming and conceptual planning through construction document preparation and construction administration.
  • Provide Architectural support to other Weston & Sampson discipline groups including Landscape Architecture, Aquatics, Environmental, Federal Installations, Transportation, Water, and Wastewater.
  • Report to Architectural Project Manager and Team Leader.
  • Supervise project team on delegated tasks and coordinate the project team with input from the Project Manager.
  • Participate in professional organizations and technical committees.
  • Collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal multi-disciplinary teams.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Fluency in Revit required.
  • Strong architectural technical detailing abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of International and State building codes.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
