Position Summary:Â
ANSER is seeking Principal Systems Architect to support a defense space program with system architecture and modeling, simulation and analysis expertise. In this role you will provide guidance and technical support for full program initiatives, testing and simulations. Â
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) to support architecture development for Space Protection and Space Control mission areas.
- Define and develop enterprise, mission area, and mission thread architectures and alternatives.
- Design and evaluate force packages and courses of action for analysis and effectiveness validation.
- Apply proficiency in MS&A tools to advise, interpret analysis results, and support decision-making.
- Provide technical and operational insight to enhance mission protection, data assessments, and anomaly resolution.
- Develop and assess impact analyses, audits, studies, compliance inspections, and readiness reviews.
- Monitor program schedules and acquisition implementation; identify requirement shortfalls and assess risk.
- Maintain and update acquisition reports by correlating execution data with program baselines.
- Support technical engagements, including design reviews, interchange meetings, and working groups.
- Maintain situational awareness of all programs and technology development across the portfolio.
- Provide engineering, operations, and technical support across all stages of the acquisition lifecycle.
- Support acquisition efforts for advanced technologies, concept development, and integration activities.
- Advise on cost, schedule, and performance metrics for government acquisition programs.
- Draft and revise JCIDS and acquisition documentation in accordance with government guidance (e.g., MIL-STD).
- Identify and recommend improvements to acquisition processes and assist with technical risk management and mitigation planning.
 Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to submit to a CI Polygraph.
- 12+ years of relevant technical experience in systems engineering or architecture or related domains.
- 9+ years of hands-on experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A).
- Proven technical expertise supporting space defense initiatives such as:
- Assessment of National Space Control Capabilities (ANSCC)
- Space Protection Program (SPP)
- Space Situational Awareness (SSA)
- National-level and Joint-level studies
- Extensive knowledge of Executive Agent for Space Systems (EASS) mission areas, including:
- Modeling techniques and methodologies
- Simulation frameworks and tools
- Complex study design and execution
- Demonstrated experience leading and contributing to Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Proven ability to translate technical analysis into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams, working groups, and high-level technical forums.
