We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructional Support Assistant to join our Culinary Arts program. This part-time position plays a crucial role in supporting the instructor during hands-on training and live restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will assist with supervising students, ensuring safe food handling practices, and reinforcing instructional objectives in a real-world kitchen and restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Culinary Instructor in teaching and demonstrating cooking techniques, safety procedures, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
  • Supervise students during food preparation and service in a live restaurant setting.
  • Support students in the development of culinary skills and proper use of kitchen equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the instructional kitchen and dining areas.
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety standards in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare materials and supplies for instructional activities as directed by the instructor.
  • Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of live restaurant services.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students in coordination with the instructor.
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding student performance or safety to the instructor promptly.
  • Participate in program meetings and professional development as needed.



Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the culinary industry, preferably in a supervisory or instructional setting.
  • ServSafe Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and restaurant operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced instructional environment.
  • Passion for education and student success
