Role Purpose

The purpose of OMS FIRST CHOICE Advisor role is to support the implementation of the Operations Management System in the country and ensure sustainability across sites. This includes governing the progress of OMS FIRST CHOICE to ensure the sustainability in the country, act as a coach to the site leadership team and also support capability development throughout implementation to drive standardization across sites with behavioural and cultural changes and promote benchmarking across sites.

Key Responsibilities

1. Train & Coach Leaders and Teams

  • Coach site champions and leadership on OMS FIRST CHOICE principles, performance cube, and infrastructure.
  • Deliver training for site staff (Quality, Safety, HR) and support on-the-job development.

2. Engage Leadership & Define Roles

  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, and support needed from leadership in the OMS journey.
  • Support span of control analysis and leadership development.

3. Build Infrastructure & Culture

  • Guide implementation of required infrastructure (physical, organizational, digital).
  • Support development of a strong OMS FIRST CHOICE culture and Excellence Schools.

4. Monitor Performance & Drive Implementation

  • Evaluate performance cube with site teams, align improvement plans.
  • Track implementation progress, report results and benefits to the country lead.

5. Ensure Governance & Standardization

  • Drive OMS FIRST CHOICE governance, share best practices, and develop business cases.
  • Support standardization of culture and practices across all sites.

Key capabilities/Competencies

  • Strong operational background in the supply chain industry
  • Experience in Performance Management, productivity and continuous improvement methodologies highly desirable
  • Experience working within supply chain operations is essential for this role
  • Experience in a manufacturing/operational environment is needed
  • The role holder must be dynamic, and goal orientated; enabling site teams to work accordingly to the plan
  • The ability to influence without authority is required strongly / significantly in this role
  • The role holder must act self initiative but understand the role as an integrated team role
  • Experience is needed to collaborate with ops managers across all levels within a country
