JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

Executes monthly and year-end accounting for all capital and lease responsibilities and accomplishes analysis and reporting for regular (monthly, quarterly, and annual) financial statements.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with general ledger closing for NA Rail Cos adhering to KB deadlines. This includes journal entries and capital reconciliations
  • Perform capitalization of all Fixed Assets for the NA Rail. Collect all documentation for capitalizing assets. Perform transfers and scrapping of all assets. Complete the asset reconciliation on a monthly basis. Provide all fixed asset reports to tax and audit on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Perform all lease entries on monthly basis for all NA Rail Cos. Review lease data files to ensure accuracy. Complete all lease reconciliations and additional data required on monthly and quarterly basis
  • Assist with Quarterly reporting of IFRS Notes packages
  • Maintain accurate files of all lease and capital related documents
  • Responsible to perform fixed asset audits for NA Rail plants on 3 year rotating basis.
  • Collaborate with Controlling team for establishment of Internal orders for capital, warranty and engineering
  • Review all internal orders for proper sales tax accounting
  • Coordinate and assist in the completion of special assignments and projects as needed.
  • Provide documentation and reconciliations as required to external auditors.
  • Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
  • Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
  • Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, Accounting preferred
  • 02+ years of experience
