JOB TITLE: Occupational Health Coordinator

POSITION NUMBER: 1208- R3946 -OHC

POSITION LOCATION: Onsite

ANTICIPATED START DATE: 2-6 weeks after contract award

TRAVEL: Required up to 10% as needed


ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other State, Federal, and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to the Fairfax County Health Department. The Occupational Health Coordinator is expected to work at the client's site with travel to various Health Department Facilities as needed.


SCOPE OF WORK

The Occupational Health Coordinator ensures all assigned staff meet County health requirements, including immunizations, TB testing, and respiratory protection standards.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer or coordinate occupational health screenings.
  • Maintain health records and compliance logs.
  • Coordinate with County occupational health services for updates.
  • Guide staff on required immunizations and health protocols.
  • Ensure timely renewal of required medical clearances.
Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.


Credentials:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active state license.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S)

Experience: Minimum 5 years of occupational health experience in a public health or healthcare setting.


Clearance:

Ability to pass Fairfax County criminal background check and Virginia/FBI National Criminal History Background Check.


REQUIREMENT: Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident or have authorization for employment in the United States.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
