As the Accounting Manager, you'll manage 1-2 staff accountants and be responsible for overseeing the month end close process, included but not limited to booking and reviewing journal entries, preparing and reviewing reconciliations, and preparing monthly reports. You'll be a key point of contact for the financial and FAR audits, and provide guidance on technical accounting topics. The Accounting Manager reports to the Senior Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review account reconciliations and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities by collecting and analyzing account information.
Prepare journal entries for assigned entities, and approve journal entries prepared by staff accountants.
Support various audit activities (external, internal and FAR).
Lead and assist in integration efforts for acquired companies.
Review and provide guidance on technical accounting topics such as purchase price accounting, stock-based compensation and lease accounting.
Analyze financial reports and records.
Ensure that all deliverables comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Contribute to other department and organization special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
5+ years experience in accounting or finance.
CPA or pursuit of CPA preferred.
Merger & Acquisition experience preferred.
Experience with Vision, Vantagepoint, or other Deltek products preferred.
Proficiency in Excel with ability to create formula driven spreadsheets, familiarity with pivot table, vlookup, xlookup and other summarizing tools is a plus.
