Your New Role and Responsibilities 
Our Data Centre Engineers work as part of our enterprise data centre team to audit and maintain our existing data centre footprints.
Under the direction of a designated Team leader, perform the following functions as individual assignments or as part of a team:

  • Cabling & Connectivity: Install, terminate, test, and label CAT6, fibre, and MDF phone lines within the IBX environment.
  • Hardware Setup: Install ICT hardware, including shelves, rails, power strips, and cable management systems.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Support ongoing infrastructure projects, including installation, updates, rationalisation, and decommissioning.
  • System & Environment Audits: Conduct physical audits, update CMDB systems, and perform power and cooling assessments.
  • Reporting & Quality Standards: Maintain cleanliness, ensure high-quality work, and report progress via the ticketing system.

What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact 

  • Data Centre Experience: Proven background in maintaining data centres, especially for critical ICT services, with familiarity in Defence environments and protocols.
  • Technical Tools Knowledge: Working knowledge of PowerIQ and DC Track systems.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of manual handling, climbing ladders, and lifting to 25kg.
  • Flexible Work Hours: Willingness to work nights and weekends during transition periods.
  • Qualifications: IT or Telecommunications degree or diploma preferred.
