Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate
Description:
The Department of Philosophy invites applications for the Louis Skolnick Postdoctoral Research Associate. Successful candidates will pursue research and may teach up to two courses per year, subject to sufficient enrollments and with the approval by the Office of the Dean of the Faculty. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year pending satisfactory performance. Appointments will be made to the rank of Postdoctoral Research Associate; when teaching, the candidate will hold the secondary part-time rank of Lecturer.Qualifications: The successful candidate will have (or expect to have) a Ph.D. in Philosophy or related field and should have no more than two years of post-Ph.D. research experience prior to September 1, 2026. The department welcomes applications from scholars specializing in any area of philosophy. This position is subject to the university background check policy. Expected Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000

The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
