At PDS Optical, we are committed to delivering exceptional eyewear and outstanding service to our Veterans. We're seeking an experienced optician to join our team as a Part-Time FLEX Travel Optician out of the Austin, TX VA and help us uphold our mission of providing GREAT Veteran CARE! 


As a Part Time Flex Optician, you would have the flexibility to pick and choose which travel assignments you can cover for! This is a great position for someone who would like travel around the U.S. and take care of our Veterans.



Position Details: 

  • Pay Range: $22-$24/hour 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient service to Veterans. 
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction through exceptional service. 
  • Work collaboratively to foster a positive and productive environment. 
  • Comply with security clearance requirements by successfully passing a background check. 
  • Travel to various locations as required without exception.

Qualifications: 

  • ABO Certification is preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. 
  • Skilled in fitting, adjusting, repairing, and selling eyewear. 
  • Proficient in using lensometers, pupilometers, and computers. 
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
