Job Description:
SUMMARY:
The Facility Technicians will provide support of the Mobilization and Deployment, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS) services to satisfy the overall operational objectives and meeting the needs of the project and its staff IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the accountability and updates log of keys (5513) and rooms (Billeting Rosters).
- Assists with work orders and service requests, ensures timelines of submissions, actions, and completion of all repair's maintenance, and service IAW the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Performs minor repairs of facilities and/or equipment as needed.
- Assist in preparing reports and statistics involving recommendations for improvements and additions to facilities and grounds.
- Assist in coordinating with all activities or tenants when repairs or maintenance will affect their operational mission to ensure the least amount of disruption of that activity and the overall mission.
- Coordinates electrical power issues to include emergency power generators and backup power systems.
- Ensures compliance of all fire & safety directives, to include inspection, condition & serviceability of fire equipment to include fire extinguishers and smoke detectors.
- Assist in issuing linen when Facility Supply Tech is not available.
- Assist in issuing vacuums to units when Facility Supply Tech is not available.
- Performs simple assembling or installing equipment or parts.
- Performing simple or routine task/tests while operating or adjusting test equipment.
- Prepare and maintain an up-to-date inventory of existing facilities.
- Ensure all contract documents are uploaded and turned into the billeting clerks in a timely manner for DMO submissions. May be required to extract DMO requests to DMO service slip.

- This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

Requirements:
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Essential : - High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Knowledge of objective, policies, and procedures of military personnel management.
- Must have proficient computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with employees within the office, personnel in other offices and military personnel to clarify, obtain or provide information.
- Ability to deal with people.
- Effective communications skills, judgment, and interpersonal relationship skills.
- Organization skills to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
- Intuitive, interpretive, and analytical comprehension to rapidly identify and resolve problems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is generally performed in an office environment which requires sitting or standing and working on a
computer for long periods of time . Required to walk, stand, sit and move about the property for long periods of time. Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition necessary for: bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time, operating through extended periods of high stress. If applicable t he employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; and the manual dexterity to operate a cell phone, handheld radio, telephone, and keyboard. Wearing safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear or other safety gear as appropriate.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS: This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site. Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. Area is subject to blowing dust and sand with temperatures ranging from 10 (-) degrees F in the winter to 125(+) degrees F in the summer. If applicable work 10(+) hours per day. Must be able to work in fast paced, multi-task environment. Also, Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays. Overtime may be required.
